Jeff Samoska

Executive Chef & Founder

I started cooking professionally at age 17 . My family of amazing cooks set the stage for an exciting culinary career. This journey has taken me many places and given me the opportunity to work with talented and exciting hospitality professionals along the way.

After earning my undergraduate degrees in psychology and criminology from The University of Missouri-St. Louis, I relocated to Austin to study culinary arts at the Le Cordon Bleu program of Texas Culinary Academy. I traveled the country for more than a decade (Florida, South Carolina, Colorado, and 3 stints in Texas) and worked for 5 Hyatt Hotel properties along the way. In early 2018, I returned to Houston to open The Post Oak Hotel (Houston’s only Forbes 5 Star property) as Executive Restaurant Chef. By the end of 2019 I was looking for a different type of challenge. That is when I joined the pre-opening team at Local Group Brewing Company as Executive Chef. After developing the menu concepts and building the team from the ground up, we were pumped for our grand opening in early 2020. Two weeks after we opened our doors the Covid-19 pandemic shook the World and crippled the restaurant and hospitality industry as we knew it.

During the pandemic shutdowns of 2020, I redirected my focus and began working with individuals and families on a private and more personal level. This is how Crafted Culinary Experience was born and we have proudly served the Greater Houston/Galveston area ever since
